Fabric painting allows you to create your own unique fabric. Essential Textile Art offers a range of fabric paints to suit every budget and creative desire. Fabric painting is simple and easy to do with brush, roller or stencil.

Glue Batik uses a hot water dissolvable glue to create wonderful batik inspired fabric. Easy and non-toxic, this technique is great to do with kids as well.

Smooch Inks are pearlized pigmented inks in a nail-polish bottle. The foam applicator allows you to get into tiny areas for detail work. Use on paper, glass, metal, cardstock, fabric, wood, clay and much more.

The Jacquard range offers a variety of fabric paints for every creative endeavour involving fabric. Click on the Jacquard range to explore some exciting paints, sample packs and the amazingly verstile Pearl Ex powder.

Permaset is an Australian fabric paint which is excellent for fabric painting, printing and stencilling. It is heat set, water based and wonderful to use. Permaset's new water based formulation does not smell like the older formulation so if you have used it in the past we would recommend giving the new water based Permaset paints a go. Their Puff Paste is excellent for dimensional work similar to Xpandaprint.

Derwent Inktense pencils are the best water colour pencils I've ever used on fabric. Intense colour and permanent too! Browse through our range and tips for use.

Shiva paintstiks are simple to use sticks of oil paint which create wonderful effects on fabric, paper, plaster and metal. Use them free hand or best of all for rubbings onto your surface.

Koh-i-noor brillant watercolours are fantastic on fabric and paper. A great depth of colour is achieved, very easy to use and create the most wonderful surfaces for stitch.

Crayola's fabric Crayons, while strictly speaking not paint, are great for colouring your fabric. Apply directly or transfer from paper for the softest tones.

Cretacolor Aquastics are water soluble oil pastels. Available in solid colours or metallics, these aquastics are great on fabric. Apply by rubbing, drawing directly, monoprinting etc - these stics give a range of options!
