Prepared Inkjet Fabric takes all the fuss and mess out of printing your own images on fabric. Inkjet fabric can be put through any inkjet printer. There is no messy soaking, stitcking to paper backings or other fussing about. Colorplus Inkjet printable fabric is for the person who just wants to get straight to the printing today! Fabric is also REAL fabric, not imitation silk or cotton. This inkjet printable fabric retains its drape after printing and leaves no tacky or unpleasant residue on the fabric's surface.
BubblejetSet has been a long time favourite to use to prepare your fabric with and then print on. We offer small sample bottles for you to try as well as the standard size. We also have pack of precut frezzer paper to use to prepare for printing.
InkAid is the product used by Maggie Grey in "From Image to Stitch" and also the same type of product as featured in Cloth, Paper Scissors Issue 20 for printing digital images onto fabric, paper and mixed media collages. InkAid does exactly that - aids the printing of ink onto fabric etc so that the print is bright and luminous. Have a look at InkAid HERE
Dylon's Image Maker allows you to transfer colour photocopies to fabric with ease. Also works for printed images however the image is paler than the commercial colour copy. Great for processes where you don't want to put fabric through the printer.
REMEMBER: Best practice is to use PIGMENT based ink for all your digital printing and a printer that allows a direct pass (i.e. doesn't curl the paper/ fabric around back onto itself when printing). Dye based inks will FADE. Also check out our books section for some great references for this type of work - Altered Photo Artistry, From Image to Stitch or Art Quilt Workbook.
